Philanthropy

Epsilon Gamma's Philanthropy

The Kindly Hearts Initiative serves as the umbrella to our philanthropic focus of supporting children and teens experiencing foster care or homelessness. Our chapters and associations have the opportunity to fundraise and do service work to support local or national impact organizations that are making a difference in the lives of children and teens experiencing foster care or homelessness.

Who Does the Kindly Hearts Initiative Support?

Key Impact Organizations
Key impact organizations making a national or regional difference under the umbrella of our focus benefit from the fundraising efforts of our National Impact Campaign, Letters of Love. Alpha Xi Delta has identified FosterClub and StandUp for Kids as our key impact organizations.

Local Impact Organizations
Chapters and associations collaborate with local impact organizations that support children experiencing foster care or homelessness. They fundraise through signature events called AmaXing Challenge Events.

How We Support

National Impact Campaign
Alpha Xi Delta members participate in Letters of Love each November, a national letter-writing campaign that benefits key impact organizations making a national difference in supporting children and teens experiencing foster care or homelessness. Chapters, alumnae associations and individual members fundraise for both key impact organizations, FosterClub and StandUp for Kids. Through the Letters of Love campaign, Alpha Xi Delta Sisters share their personal stories of why they choose to support the focus of the Kindly Hearts Initiative.

Signature Chapter Fundraising Events
Each chapter hosts an annual AmaXIng Challenge fundraising event that benefits an impact organization which supports children and teens experiencing foster care or homelessness.

Localized Service
Chapters and associations are encouraged to find an organization(s) in their community to collaborate with for service opportunities. Service could be individually based or chapter/association wide projects.

Day of Service
On November 15, National Philanthropy Day, Alpha Xi Deltas across the country harness the collective power of our Sisterhood for National Day of Service. Members create meaningful and tangible service opportunities to support key and local impact organizations that focus on serving children and teens impacted by foster care or homelessness.
